Check out these awesome maps to get steps indoors

posted by Jeff Mullins on May 12, 2016 The Tunnel Tours

Don’t let the rain or heat (or winter cold) stop you from meeting your daily steps goals. If you don’t know where to walk indoors, a group of employees from the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT) has you covered.

They’ve made mapped out nine different tours using all of the tunnels connected to the Indiana Government Center. They call it The Tunnel Tours and these tours are 100 percent indoors. Your steps and time may vary, but they’ve timed out the time you’ll spend and the steps you’ll get from each walk. The walks range from approximately 800 to 6,000 steps and can last up to an hour.

Special thanks to Amanda O’Daniel and her team at IOT.

  1. Sounds interesting. A big help, indeed.

If you could, please email this again. I think a lot of new employees start working here and are discouraged because the tunnels can be a little confusing if you aren’t used to them. Especially with winter almost here, these maps are so helpful!!

Thanks Sara! We’ll put these out in our Around The Circle newsletter next week.

I think these maps are very useful but can you make each map a separate download? When I printed this, all 9 maps are on one 8 1/2 x 11 page (way too small to read). Thanks so much!!

Is there a way to make the tunnel maps bigger as to be able to follow more easier if you are not familiar with all the areas.

THESE ARE VERY HARD TO READ COULD YOU EMAIL THEM OUT ONE AT A TIME TO INCREASE THE SIZE?

    THANK YOU
