State of Indiana employees have access to a free wellness challenge portal with fun and engaging activities! The portal is available to active full-time and part-time State of Indiana employees, spouses, and dependents over age 18.
Monthly activities are available to challenge your co-workers and family! The program inspires you to take care of your physical, financial, emotional, and work well-being.
In 2020, the Indiana State Personnel Department (INSPD) will sponsor three statewide step challenges where gift card prizes are up for grabs. Use the monthly challenges to get ready for the statewide competitions!
OurHealth Challenge Program FAQs
Who is eligible to participate in the OurHealth Wellness Challenges program?
Wellness challenges are available to all active full and part-time employees, spouses, and adult dependents regardless of their enrollment in a health plan. *The Wellness Challenges and OurHealth portal is not available to Indiana State Police employees, Conservation Officers or Excise Officers. Participating school corporations, COBRA, and Early Retirees are also not eligible to participate.
I am a new employee, can I participate?
Yes, new employees are encouraged to begin participating in all wellness programs they are eligible for. It may take up to three weeks for OurHealth to load newly hired employees into their system.
Do I have to be a member of the health plan to participate?
No, the OurHealth challenge platform is available to all active full and part-time employees regardless of their enrollment in a health plan. *The Wellness Challenges and OurHealth portal is not available to Indiana State Police employees, Conservation Officers or Excise Officers. Participating school corporations, COBRA, and Early Retirees are also not eligible to participate.
I am having trouble logging in. Who do I call?
For problems logging into the OurHealth portal please call 317-537-9764.

What rewards can I earn through the monthly challenges?
The monthly challenges do not offer a reward. Use these challenges to prepare for the three statewide step challenges sponsored by State Personnel.
Statewide step challenges will be announced in The Torch, on the Invest In Your Health website, and through an email for anyone that receives updates from State Personnel. You will also find the challenge as a featured event in the portal.
How do I find the statewide step challenges in the portal?
Statewide step challenges will be shown as featured events on the portal’s homepage.
What rewards can I earn through the statewide step challenges?
Any team that meets the goal of the statewide step challenge is entered in a raffle drawing for gift card prizes. All participating members from selected teams will receive a gift card.
It is optional to connect a device to the OurHealth platform as you can manually enter your steps for the monthly challenges. The statewide step challenges will require a connected device.
Will I be provided with a fitness tracker?
No, participants must provide their own fitness trackers for these Wellness Challenges.
Do I need to connect my fitness tracker to the OurHealth portal if it’s already connected to ActiveHealth?
Yes, if you want steps to be tracked in both the OurHealth and ActiveHealth portals. OurHealth and ActiveHealth are not permitted to share tracker data with each other. You must authorize each portal individually.
What fitness trackers can I use?
Visit the Wellness Challenge Program portal at member.ourhealth.org/sign_up/stateofin for a complete list of compatible devices.
Samsung is not on the list of available trackers, will it connect to OurHealth?
Samsung devices can connect to the OurHealth portal through other apps like Strava or RunKeeper.
When I sync my fitness tracker, will all of my steps/exercise minutes for the year sync?
Your steps/exercise minutes will only load starting on the day you initially sync your device.
Who should I contact if I have problems syncing my fitness device?
